Great Place Scheme

The Great Place Scheme is designed to pilot new approaches that enable cultural and community groups  to work more closely together and to place heritage at the heart of communities.

The Heritage Lottery Fund, working with Arts Council England and Historic England have already funded 16 areas in England.

At the BRICK Conference in Glasgow on 29th March, Ros Kerslake announced the opening of the scheme in Scotland.

Funding is available for five to eight projects across Wales bringing together the heritage and culture sectors to boost local economies.
